This 4-bedroom ocean view house is now available for rent. The house has just undergone an extensive remodel for the comfort of our guests.

Included in the remodel:

1. New modern kitchen with maple cabinets and a granite countertop
2. New downstairs bathroom with stone-tiled shower and granite-topped vanity
3. New upstairs bathroom with granite-topped vanity
4. New hardwood flooring in all the living areas
5. New carpets in the bedrooms
6. New double glazed windows with a French door to the ocean
7. New furniture throughout the house

The house has 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms. Downstairs are two bedrooms (one with a Queen bed, the other with 3 twin beds), a full bathroom and the laundry room. A spiral staircase takes you upstairs to the main living area, two bedrooms (one with a Queen bed, the other has a King bed) and a full bathroom. The living room, dining room and kitchen are open plan with a high ceiling, with huge windows providing a view of the ocean. Open the French doors and step onto the wide, wrap-around deck and listen to the waves crashing onto the shore.

The house has new, modern appliances and DSL Internet access (wireless 802.11b/g and wired Ethernet). The downstairs twin bedroom has a TV with basic cable, a DVD and VCR. The living room also has a TV with basic cable, a DVD and VCR. The house has a collection of more than 80 movies. There is a BBQ on the deck with a view of the ocean. The dining table seats 8 with lots of elbow room, and expands to seat 12 in comfort.

The house is located at 530 Seacliff Drive in Aptos (map1, map2) , just south of Capitola and north of Rio Del Mar. Santa Cruz and Monterey are a short drive away. The house is a stone's throw to the sea, but is on a bluff. You can walk to the beach in 5 minutes. Aptos beach is a wide, sandy beach suitable for swimming, boogy boarding or walking your dog. The beach has restrooms and cold showers.

There is parking for 5 cars in the driveway, and parking for an additional car on the street.

Summer rental rate (June 26th to August 15th and holidays):
$3,200 per week
$800 per night (Saturday)
$500 per night (Sunday through Friday)
Two night minimum.

Winter rental rate (August 16th to June 25th, excluding holidays):
$2,100 per week
$500 per night (Friday and Saturday)
$300 per night (Sunday through Thursday)
Two night minimum.

Check in time is 3pm. Check out time is 11am. Early check in or late check out can be arranged. A 50% deposit is needed to secure your reservation. The balance is due 60 days before arrival. All prices exclude the Santa Cruz county hotel tax of 10%. There is a cleaning fee of $145 per stay. Linens and towels are provided on request for $80. Well-behaved pets are welcome with the payment of a $90 pet cleaning fee. There is a security deposit of $800. There is a rental calculation worksheet at the bottom of the rental agreement.
